VISION SCHOOLPROGRAMS

Our school-based programs are designed to support physical literacy, build sport fundamentals, and elevate volleyball development at every grade level.

What is the VISION School Programs?

Whether your school is introducing the sport for the first time or looking to enhance competitive opportunities, VISION brings age-appropriate training, proven curriculum frameworks, and experienced coaching support directly to your gym.

We partner with elementary, junior high, and high schools to deliver in-school skill development, teacher support, and athlete-centered training pathways that align with LTAD (Long-Term Athlete Development) principles and Alberta Education movement competencies.

In-School Volleyball Training

Kindergarten – Grade 6: Movement Skills & FUNdamentals

At this stage, students are learning how to move — not just how to play volleyball. Our focus is on:

  • Foundational movement skills: jumping, balance, coordination, agility
  • Fun progressions introducing volleyball-specific motions (passing, striking, serving)
  • Games and challenges that build confidence, teamwork, and sport enjoyment
  • Positive, high-energy sessions that make activity a habit, not a task

Outcome: Students graduate elementary school with strong motor skills, enthusiasm for sport, and early exposure to volleyball fundamentals.

Grades 7–8: Skill Foundations & Game Understanding

As athletes develop physically and cognitively, our coaching shifts toward technical and tactical learning:

  • Proper passing, serving, setting, attacking, and defensive technique
  • Introduction to positional play and offensive/defensive systems
  • Court movement, communication, and game intelligence
  • Modified gameplay and drills to accelerate learning in school-gym environments

Outcome: Athletes gain confidence executing fundamental volleyball skills and begin to understand how to apply them in a real team environment.

Grade 9+: Advanced Skill Development & Team Strategy

For high-school athletes, we introduce more sophisticated volleyball concepts:

  • Advanced technique training and position-specific development
  • Offensive systems (5-1, 6-2), serve-receive patterns, blocking systems
  • Tactical problem-solving and game-speed decision-making
  • Mental performance, leadership development, and competitive habits

Outcome: High-school athletes sharpen competitive skills, understand team systems, and prepare for higher-level volleyball opportunities.

How the Programs Work

  • Morning Sessions – Energizing activities to prepare children for a focused and productive school day.
  • Afternoon Sessions – A mix of skill training, fun games, and structured play to end the day on a high note.
  • Flexible Options – Families can choose before-school, after-school, or both, depending on their needs.
  • Facility Partnerships – Programs are hosted in local schools and sport facilities, making them accessible within each community.

Benefits for Athletes

  • Stay active and engaged before and after school.
  • Learn teamwork, discipline, and communication in a fun environment.
  • Build confidence while developing athletic and social skills.
  • Experience structured programs that balance sport and fun.

Most importantly, our programs meet student-athletes where they are — and give them a clear pathway to grow, whether their goal is sport participation, school team success, or long-term volleyball development.

What People Have to Say About Our School Programs

VISION Elite Volleyball Academy delivered an outstanding series of K–3 volleyball sessions at our school. The students had a fantastic time—fully engaged, enthusiastic, and excited to learn new skills each session. The coaches were consistently professional, punctual, and brought high-quality equipment that made the experience even more enjoyable for the kids. We were extremely impressed with the level of organization and the positive learning environment they created. We will certainly be inviting them back in future years!

Oskar Kasiuk, Athletic Director, Tanbridge Academy

This was my first time doing a VISION camp and it was a great learning experience! It's also a very kind and helpful community. I'm coming back next year!
